Support isis
Recently, 3 girls from Denver (14, 15, and 17) decided they wanted to join ISIS and were caught after flying to Germany while on their way to Turkey. In September, several college students signed a petition to urge President Obama to support ISIS. In my opinion, I think everyone involved are highly uneducated and we as Americans have also failed to instill pride in our own country if they feel they need to support a group like ISIS in order to gain comradery (which is what some believe). However, I also think that if they do manage to give support or join ISIS, they should have to live with their mistake and not get any help from the US Government.

At the age of 10, I may be able to be convinced that you really don't get it.
At the age of 12, I may be able to be convinced that you don't get the philosophical differences of religions and governments.
At the age of 14, I get that you may be an idiot.
At the age of 15, it is merely a coin toss between idiocracy and genius (in some cases), but you definitely know the difference between right and wrong.
At the age of 17, you damn sure know the difference between right and wrong and you know that traveling to a foreign country and joining a group of maniacs that have sworn to murder innocents is wicked bad.

All should be punished, severely. I will leave the punishment to the judiciary, but if I had anything to say, it would be severe.

Revoking citizenship is a major step, but anyone who wars against its own nation does not deserve the rights and privileges of citizenship (IMO) and should be deported to an Islamic country of their choice. I feel similarly to immigration....It bothers me that we are allowing the immigration of Muslims into our country during these times. Why can we not restrict or stop it all together until the current crisis is over. Why are we allowing potential terrorist into our country? I understand that some people are trying to avoid our mistakes from WWII for example, but no one is calling for rounding up and detaining anyone. Simply stop immigration from these countries for a while.

CMSgt - My father was USAF, perhaps why I may have decided to join the Navy. All kidding aside shipmate - I could NOT have penned truer words than you recorded above! BRAVE ZULU!!!

On punishment - I think if more people, who decided to make such choices, were punished under TREASON statutes and the act of TREASON were more explained, then perhaps the roots of why young people make such a poor choice, as you have outlined about, because of age limits on their understanding of he world the dangerous world might be averted.

I also agree with GySgt Hardy, REVOKING citizenship and then perhaps extraditing them as TRAITORS to say Guantanamo could be interesting.

Finally, Sgt Vasquez - Sempre Fi form a retired Doc! Well, very well spoken! I'd be proud "... to serve with you again today" as Le e Greenwood's song goes! On Target!!!

And I quote "Be polite. Be professional. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet." -Gen Mattis. They have the freedom to do with their lives as they wish but there is a professional warrior training everyday to kill you. You may do it as a stunt or to be part of your close circle of "family". Just remember before you go to declare war. There is a Marine right now as we speak who is ready who is training. There is a Sailor training and ready. There is a Soldier who has prepared for years on end. There is an Airman who has already decided that you will die for your cause. These men and women have been paraded around and you have seen initmate moments of their lives as they have returned and left for battle. Dont be fooled by the sweetness of the moments shared. They are all trained, ready, and willing to kill you without hesitation and with indifference be it a foreigner or compatriot who has chosen to fight against them. They will not feel anything but the recoil. These men and women are the finest and deadliest military to EVER walk the face of this earth. Chose wisely your words and choices because we will give you freedom in life or death. There will be no ceremony, no remorse or celebration there will be only the smell of expended rounds and the distant thumping of the helo as they evacuate. Should you be fortunate we will bury you with your new allies but most likely there will be very little left to bury.

SSG(P) (Join to see), I'm with you. I think these "kids" are spoiled rotten. They have no love for America, and they should be punished like the terrorists that they are.

I tried to bring this up with regard to the Pledge of Allegiance and the Mexican Pledge of Allegiance in our own schools. Unless this nation has moral clarity and a plan, we are sunk. This is not rhetoric or hyperbole, this is a fact.

We will lose credibility if we continue to be just another nation. We have to believe in our exceptionalism and rebuke politicians who went to sell us out. I have tried to let people know what is happening now happened before and that is why we fight for America and that includes not leaving people behind because of our own values, thinking we could not be them.

I both love and hate the idea of the US government spending my tax dollars funding the study of gambling monkeys and surveillance blimps. (Because the thought of pissed off monkeys throwing down, in a blimp, made me giggle and ashamed)...
I'd say, a couple of hundred plane tickets to the shithole of the world is a considerably small price to pay.
And we are talking about young adults? The newer generations who can't step outside during the winter without North Face jackets and Uggs?
Sure...you want to join ISIS? Here's your ticket, Grasshopper. Fund your own jump back.

I say revoke their citizenship when they choose to go over there, and then just let them go. If they feel that way about something that they obviously do not properly understand then they are more than welcome to go live and work in sub human conditions with a high death rate. They'll learn, and hopefully their blogging on social media (if they can find a computer to work on) will hopefully discourage others by the deplorable conditions. The fact that three teenage girls wanted to go just surprises me (at the stupidity of their parents) as their "fighting with ISIS" will likely be for soldier relaxation. If you get my drift...

Let them go and revoke their citizenship. If they're underage, return them to their parents and try to figure out what compelled them to attempt this adventure. If they were motivated by their parents themselves, determine if there is any connection between the parents and ISIS, or any like minded organization such as Jabhat al-Nusra, Al-Qaida, etc.

IMHO, if you're old enough to pick up a gun and point it at me, you're old enough to be a legitimate target. Let them go. Don't let them come back. If they happen to get caught in an airstrike or shot up by Pesh, so be it....
