Spellcheck
Unfortunately I'm terrible at spelling and I want to make sure when I respond or make comments on RP that I present them in the best possible fashion.

I'm just curious on how many RP members out there take the same time and effort to make sure they have a quality post and how many just could care less?

Spellchecker/autocorrect messes with my comments. A single typo in a book drives me crazy. I consider myself a superior speller and grammar expert thanks to a nun several decades ago.

My computer lets me know if I spell a word wrong.

Staff writing taught me how to check for errors. Pen and paper is a good way to ensure you reduce errors. Have someone red pen your work if possible.
When I type I always spell as I type. I tend to pick up 99% of the errors.
Grammar is sometimes more difficult.

I type my responses in Notepad, then paste into word...silly but I like typing in Notepad more than word (even done college papers this way!) and spellcheck. But I use chrome so sometimes it does it too.

SSG Leo Bell Happens all the time - I end up going back over it again. I've gotten lazy and a few words have come out wrong on RP. I usually go back and correct them when I see them - just a habit!

Yes, on a computer. No on the iPad as it will only check one word at a time.

I'm a pretty big perfectionist, so most times I read and re-read emails or messages before sending them haha

I do not use a program to spell check though do usually read what I wrote 2-3 times before hitting the submit button, and at least 1 more time after. This does not catch everything, but at least helps reduce my chances of looking like a retard.

Sir, my BA is in English and I'm certified to teach English (in Texas) to 8th-12th grades. I do typically proofread my posts, on all social media; however, I more often than not, do not need spell check.

Sorry could have used an option between Yes and No, along the lines of yes but its not the best workaround.

Correct spelling is very important. When I'm typing fast I might miss a letter or period. I want what I write to be professional not garbage.

Well I try as much as possible to check that I'm using proper grammar. But my phone does my spell checking for me. But if I don't know the correct terminology for something I always look it up before I post incorrect information.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, I like to think that I'm pretty good with spelling and grammar. However, more often than not, and despite my best efforts to the contrary, I will look at something I posted earlier and realize there's an error of spelling or grammar or something. I just hit the edit button and correct it.

Good Copy! It happens to me way too often, so I've tried to slow down a little and read what I've written!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, what's funny (or not, I guess) is that I'll proofread a comment two or three times and then post it. I'll come back a day or two later and sure enough, I'll find some lame error that I must correct!

It happens to the best of us. I have made some grievous errors on some pretty important stuff in the past. Even today in the business world I've taken a beating on some spelling and grammar. I keep working hard to improve!

By the way, I double-checked this response!

First off I just want to say awesome picture, a Yugioh card, that made my day a little bit. :)

But for me I am lucky because the computer I use automatically spell checks everything for me as I am typing, kind of like an online version of Microsoft Word. It is really helpful.
