Sir, I think he (or anyone else) has every right to join the fight against ISIS in a way he chooses to do. The Kurds who have been fighting against ISIS surely must be thankful for him. The only problem that may be is if he gets caught by ISIS who then might use him to show his decapitation to the rest of the world (should he ever end up being caught by ISIS).

Capt Seid Waddell, possibly, but we can't know for sure. He seems to be ready though for it to possibly be a one-way-mission. It is his right to do what he chose to do. In a way this is remarkable.
