Some of the first women serving on submarines have been filmed while in the dressing area and showering over the past year. The Navy is still investigating the case and not many details have been released. The incident took place on USS Wyoming (Gold Crew).
So far the perpetrator has only been identified as a second class petty officer (E-5) who works at the Trident Refit Facility at Kings Bay, GA.
There were at least three female officer victims. More details below in the Navy Times article.

An egregious violation of trust and confidence in the PO ranks aboard this sub. The fact that the videos were distributed is even worse. That means possibly someone of higher rank was aware. Hopefully not.
General Court Martial to include charges that reflect OPSEC compromise as well as the obvious.
Back in '67-'68 when I was a young Marine PFC. Out First Sergeant's office was on the second deck of the admin building. We caught a barracks thief one day. Bunch of us drug him off to the First Sergeants off. When we arrived and explained what transpired. First Sergeant said quite clearly "Get him the F**K out of my office and don't bring him back until he looks like a thief". To wit we promptly threw this guy down two flights of stairs.
I hope that once caught that his fellow PO's made this guy "look like a thief" for the shame and embarrassment he brought on them and the crew.
The UCMJ needs an Article 135: Just plain stupid.

This is beyond deplorable... period! For a living, service members who by the very nature of their work, are professionals tasked with keeping people safe. They set out to protect those who can not protect themselves.
Now these individuals can not shower without being victims? What the F*CK?
I hope individual(s) responsible are handed the heaviest penalty possible. This is inexcusable and I am sad for my Navy!

I fully agree LT Clint Davis our Navy has been hurt again. The victims need to be treated well and kept safe while the perps are taken care of in another way!

It irritates me that things like this still happen in our military. All this talk about sexual assaults and we still have people out there that can't even make a decision about what is right or wrong.
The military keeps adding more and more training to our regular schedule, but you can't convince people to make right decisions, they have to do it on their own. No matter where I go there is some idiot, who doesn't know or chooses to ignore the right decision. Then they wonder why the military takes action against them...really?

SMSgt Judy Hickman I have agree with your assessment. Maturity and common sense do not, however, come with enlistment as much as we wish they would. As I have said before, you cannot regulate stupid.

I like my idea better.... Shoot the perv out of a torpedo tube with at least a 300 kiloton device on him.

I have twin daughters and my dream is one of them serves in the Armed Forces someday but with sexual harassment and assault on the rise, I'm going to think twice before they go.

Prepare them for life and do not try to shelter them. Some day you will blink and they will be 18.

... isn't that the truth. You'll miss all that racket and those problems that drove you nuts.

Some people have a hard time getting it through their thick skull, this bs isn't tolerated. He was an E-5 but it's still rampant throughout all ranks and paygrades. People are getting fired all the time for inappropriate behavior-STILL! What does the military need to do? Whack people in the head with a baseball bat after sexual harassment training to drill it in their brain?
This guy wasn't even a crew member so how did he get on the sub? Any, I'm very sorry for the victims. They are trend-setters for being one of the first to be assigned to subs. They should be really proud of their accomplishments.

I disagree it's rampant throughout the ranks and pay grades. While sexual harassment/assaults still occur it does not mean it's a widespread epidemic that needs our sole attention to. What DOES need to occur though is the heavy handed prosecution (and discharge for those in the military) of idiots like this individual who violate the honor and trust of those around them as well as the military overall. We are ALL one team here and I personally DON'T care if it's a male or female perpetrator or a male or female victim. What I DO care about is purging these criminals from our ranks for there is absolutely no place for them nor are they welcome.

Great answer. Maybe it just looks like it's out of control to me because I'm always reading military times and everyday somebody's getting canned for this crap. It's like they don't get it.

Sick person. Needs to be court-martialed and kicked out. There's no place in the military for idiotic juvenile behavior.

"So far the perpetrator has only been identified as a second class petty officer", this should read "no class petty officer".
If the Navy still had planks, this bum should walk it.

CMDCM Gene Treants and SSG Christopher Parrish, That's letting them off easy in my book. Launch them out of a Torpedo Tube with the women pushing the button. I would go so far as to also allow them to tie the perv up and to put a weight with him and put him in the tube personally. No need for this type of scum.

I cannot disagree TSgt Scott Hurley but reread my comment for the real content about the SOB. Woof, Woof!

Most of you who recognize my mug know that I'm a former nuke bubblehead. I'm as proud of being a submariner as any Cav or Marine or whatever...
These SOB's are a disgrace and should be keel-hauled. Wait. Too easy. How about putting 'em in a tube and shooting out with a water slug.
Bastards.
