Asking For ‘Obamacare Horror Stories’ Not Working Out That Well For Lying Assclown Cathy McMorris Rodgers

Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Washington) had a great idea to document just how horrible Obamacare has been for Americans: She went to her Facebook page, posted a chart that doesn’t merely lie about the ACA but also makes no logical sense (a bullet point list of lies would at least look sensible, but a line graph?), and invited readers to share their Obamacare horror stories:

'Whether it’s turned your tax filing into a nightmare, you’re facing skyrocketing premiums, or your employer has reduced your work hours, I want to hear about it.

Please share your story with me so that I can better understand the challenges you’re facing: http://mcmorris.house.gov/your-story/

And just like the time last year when Ted Cruz tried the same dumb stunt, people flooded the page with stories of how they’d finally gotten insurance after being denied due to pre-existing conditions, or how their previous private plans covered practically nothing, or how they were healthcare workers who were seeing a lot of new patients who otherwise might have gone to the ER for unaffordable care. Oops.

Capt Walter Miller - Give me a crayon and I can throw some numbers together to make this look good too. Lets not mention the fact that these guys are hard pressed to make this look good because they themselves supported the act and heaven forbid they should look bad to the public. You think this is the 1st time numbers have ever been fudged??? Didnt bush actually loose the vote into office until he cried and demanded a recount??? What state was it that miraculously found JUST enough missing votes to have him elected??? Its politics and corruption, nothing more.

Capt Walter Miller - You are persistent, Ill give you that. but like a bad series on tv I have become bored of this. I wish you luck trying to entice the next person to try and fill your boredom. You will never convince me and countless others that he is a prick and deserves a prison cell or thrown back to his muslim brothers. Thanks and take care.

I read a book called "How To Lie With Statistics many years ago.
An example from the book was a statistic claiming that Navy sailors were in healthier condition than the civilian population. Of course they were. The larger number of them are under age 30 which skews the conclusion. People who cite statistics depend on your not looking at the data used to produce them.

You don't have to buy it. Here's a link to the book itself and illustrations. It's not a difficult read. I read it when I was 10 y/o. I had a lot of time in those days, I was expelled from school for most of the fifth grade.

I wanted to clarify something from previous statement about where I get my info,I don't get my info that way, should have read,I dont Just get my info that way, wasn't trying to be missleading. My reply to students not getting jobs. That's because most schools especially high school and below, are not upgrading their teaching and preparing students for future upgrades in technologies Students are being taught yesterday model. What do I mean,I go by a lap top today and in 7yrs it's obsolete. In my humble opinion all though are children are being taught well, their not be taught to think in future, their being taught to think about today and yesterday's technologies, and not all schools are equal some are ahead the rest are behind and that has to do with many factors. As far as price look into smart buildings, renewables, excess, and more over site into why a school is failing, and I don't mean over site by the people who made it fail or the inspectors who have special interests.Take out the middlemen and burocracy, simplify things for students.Work smarter not harder and you accomplish more, and that University should get you a job you went to school for,not just here's your diploma see ya later.Every student that walks through that door should be matched to his or hers ambitions and helped to achieve it,and when they walk out they walk into a the job they studied for.GURRANTEED....Other wise what's the use.Oh and the Priority students shouldn't be the wealthy ones but the poorest.Your only as strong as your weakest link.I believe that.So see I did learn something in the Military. We are judged by how well we treat our Elderly,Disabled, and Poor, not by how well off the small %of wealthy students do.

I think it is funny Obama could hang the moon and the critics would say he caused coastal flooding because of the tides. While I am not a big fan and really pissed about the whole classified email thing we are so polarized on this issues I chose to live a happy life and stay out of it. In the end I hate all politicians, reporters and most layers.

I'm gong to go out and say he's not anything yet.....he's still IN office making policies and decisions. What will tell us his "ranking" will be how his decisions, policies, and orders play out over time. I believe everyone on here will be very old and senile by the time we really have a chance to gauge how this presidency goes. Now his naysayers will immediately say he's this or that, and that's fine. But time tells stories that aren't evident immediately. Wait and see.

The evidence will be apparent in a few years when these "new" jobs are re-evaluated. I will admit that the anecdotal evidence is that more people are working...but at what and where? I personally get a little "miffed" at the new model of employment; one that proposes "job hoping" across a wide range of fields while carrying enormous debt loads for the minimal education requirements. Executives in major companies must be grinning from ear to ear...imagine a work force of young people who have a college degree, but are willing to enter jobs with little room for professional development, and stagnate earnings...in exchange for work out facilities and lenient leave policies? I know...I generalize a little too. The facts are that we have not increased a significant portion of the lifeblood of economics...manufacturing. Over time, we will lose what we haven't already lost in terms of a lead when it comes to technology and production. We will have armies of "good idea fairies" and "consultants" who have five page resumes. What we need are careers that attract long-term employees who want to build their skills in a trade leading to significant security as they progress in that field. We need to reduce litigation and restriction which will increase competition, drive down prices of consumer goods, and foster more investment and growth from the small sector of society that can turn $100k into a business employing five people above minimum wage.

Capt Walter Miller - So, how much was that in dollars compared to what Obama has and will do by the end of his term? What was the results of the two economic agendas in terms of prosperity. Oh, here is an article from Forbes that makes that comparison and why the spending happened. You did ask for sources, didn't you.

The reason he has been successful is that the Republicans in Congress are gutless.

The 13 million jobs that were added in 65 months, does not account for the other 92 million still out of work. And, I seriously wonder which planet you came from.

With the money so far stripped from DoD and the Marines, as well as the other military services, you need to be happy you still have a job. But if you lose your job in Duluth, you can blame Bush, but the problem behind that is, Bush will have no effect on your job loss.

Capt Walter Miller - Why should I be concerned about them not tipping the wait staff? Appearantly you must have trouble with it, or you would not have mentioned it. From where I stand, at least the military taught us NCOs to think for ourselves.

Capt Walter Miller - General Electric is a mostly unionized company. Jeffrey Immelt was Obama's "Job's Czar". Neither his position nor the unions prevented Immelt from sending 500 jobs producing MRI and X-Ray machines overseas.
Starting in 1984 AT&T started laying off nearly 200,000 people. tens of thousands with less than 30 years service received deferred pensions. This year they started receiving them. Despite requests to the Communications Workers of America to add pension enhancement to the pensions wouldn't even acknowledge phone calls and emails. The union that was formed by the 900,000 employees of the Bell System wasn't needed any more They've been replaced with federal, state and municipal workers.
The unions are as crooked as the corporations. ( Oh! They are corporations.) All they concern themselves with is their own salaries and benefits. The head of the AFL-CIO Richard Trumka writes a column for the Communist Workers newspaper. The unions are dying by slow suicide.

Capt Walter Miller - Again, you need to get your head out of your butt and look around you. "Party of hateful old white people"? The Republican candidates for President include a female, a Black man, two Hispanics and an Indian. Compare that with the Democrats... There are many, many people, other than "old white people" who support the Republican Party and what they stand for.

None of those demographics - Blacks, Hispanics, Indians (any any stripe) are going to vote in any numbers for a GOP presidential candidate.

The outcome of the last two elections shows that the GOP will win no more national elections in this country. Why: You can’t gerrymander the whole country.

Here's your problem:

"The incoming Senate is comprised mostly of Republicans -- 54 to the Democrats' 44 (plus two independents, who hang out/vote with Democrats). But those Democrats actually received 20 million more cumulative votes than did the Republicans, as Vox pointed out (to much Internet traffic, no doubt) over the weekend. What gives?"

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/01/05/senate-democrats-got-20-million-more-votes-than-senate-republicans-which-means-basically-nothing/

The GOP is toast.

What that -20,000,000,000- voter differential means in a national election is - special glasses or no -- is votes. Votes in the Electoral College.

The next Democratic Party candidate could be polka-dotted. The GOP cannot win.

How can you say he's a successful President when we all know that he is responsible for Hurricane Katrina, 9-11, Osama bin-Laden's Jihadist warpath in Afghanistan in 1980, the Iran-Contra debacle, enticing the Argentinians to invade the Falklands Islands, the Tet Offensive, the fall of the Roman Empire, the sacking of Constantinople, the Black Death (Name says it all, right!!??), and the burning of the library at Alexandria!? I just know for a fact that he did all these things, and hours of Internet research will prove it... if the data hasn't all been erased already by the Bilderburger Illuminati, that is.
