SGT Mark Sullivan, I guess that means you were doing it right, lol! I'm always dizzy and nauseated at the end, but I've never dry heaved. Guess I better step up my game.

18+ years ago we had a guy in the unit that missed the run by 10 seconds. He proceeded to puke his guts out just past the finish line. His grader said, "That was worth 10 seconds." and passed him.

OMG I remember that feeling from Fort Polk. Funny to watch your friends puke on a Fun Run.

Ma'am, if I am not mistaken by the angle of the nametapes, it would be Marines.
I must concur with CPT Brian Maurelli, there are size issues in all Branches and all components.
I also absolutely concur with you on the uniform sizing. I was JUST saying this to a friend that I was appalled at the sizes allowed in fatigues. I am no where near the fitness level I was as a younger NCO, but I actually saw ABUs in Clothing Sales for 22/S (Short) pants. I was astonished.

CWO4 Maria Pettus Ma'am, I am currently in a Marine Corps Reserve Unit and we are entrusted to maintain height and weight standards just as the Active Duty component. The only difference being, we also have civilian jobs where we don't have PT scheduled into our work day so we must find the time to PT on our own.
While I respect your opinion, I am slightly offended by it. I have seen more out of shape Marines in the active component than I have in the reserve component. At the end of the day, I am a Marine just like yourself. I push myself to maintain the highest level of fitness that I can and also balance a civilian career as well as my career as a United States Marine.

CWO4 Maria Pettus Thank you for your response. I'm glad we both agree, no Marine should let themselves get into that level of shape, it's disgusting. Semper Fidelis and absolutely zero hard feelings harbored ma'am.

I told SGT (Join to see) not to show off my pictures. SGT(P) (Join to see) I guess she couldn't help herself. (I am comfortable wearing my ranger panties as I am typing)
