Now that classified material has been found on Hillary’s personal email server, should she be prosecuted? What would happen if you or I took this material home?

Hillary will probably get off with nothing or a slap on the wrist.
The four star got a fine
You and I or any other lower ranking person would see the inside of a jail cell.

It doesn't look like there's an option where no crime occurred. If the Intel agency that created the doc didn't properly label it, they committed a felony. If they properly labeled it, then whoever transferred it to an unclass system committed a felony. If the label was removed, whoever removed it committed a felony....and, if they removed it to give the SECSTATE plausible deniability as to its classification, then felony conspiracy charges are added. Finally, if the labels survived and remained attached when introduced to Clinton's network, then everyone who saw or accessed the document and failed to report the security violation can be charged with a felony. I see no way a crime did not occur.

Sgt Kelli Mays I used to work for a guy with a TS/SCI with a felony conviction. It is not a prohibitting factor in and of itself. The specific charge may however be.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS - it depends on the company and it depends on whether you know someone in the company...I used to be a branch manager of a recruitment and temp agency....98% of my clients would not hire anyone with a felony....Boeing....USAA....UTSA....some major law firms....Valero's oil and Gas....well not in their white collar environment, but I was able to get jobs in the oil fiends for some who served time.

Sgt Kelli Mays This was a Sgt (Promoted later to SSgt, possibly higher now) in the USMC. I have little doubt he would be able to get a job when he got out.
Yes, we have a stigma attached to felony convictions. We do, but it's just that, a stigma, not a whole lot of actual legal issues when it comes to employment.
Our society is supposed to acknowledge the "paid their debt" portion of that punishment.

Baloney. Handling photos from keyhole satellites and other classified sourced materials on non certified unsecured servers is a crime!

What good would it do....we tried to impeached her husband and that got us no-where.
Even if she is found at fault.....whats the end game....not like they are going to toss her in prison and the "educated" voters don't care they will vote for any minority that is put in front of them either out of guilt, stupidity, or blind allegiance.

LTC (Join to see)
MSgt Ronald Stacy, as I recall Bill Clinton was impeached, but refused to leave office.

He was acquitted in the Senate; 45 for conviction, 55 against for perjury, and 50-50 for obstruction of justice.

LTC (Join to see) - by the house not the senate....you need to be impeached by both.

And the votes were exactly along party lines. The Democrats had no integrity in weighing the evidence.

It's hard to say what will come out of this, but I predict she will rehash Bill's line "It's a vast Right Wing Conspiracy"...
MCPO Roger Collins
SCPO David Lockwood. What have you heard that would create doubt in your mind. As a former Classified Material Control Officer for a Communications Unit in DC and holding the highest clearance possible at the time, there is nothing that could convince me, Personally, that she and her staff are guilty as sin.

Master Chief I'm not saying that Hillary Clinton is or is not guilty. All I am saying that if she is guilty then she should be held accountable for her actions as the same as you or I would be if this happened to us.

LTC (Join to see), I believe that she should be prosecuted, but I consider the likelihood to be remote, regardless of what is ultimately revealed to be her transgressions.

Yes she should get prosecuted, however is not going to happen. That's just the sad truth.

I have to agree with you. Hope it does cause her campaign to fail though for the good of the country.

I would get roasted if I did what she did, so what makes her untouchable on such a grave offense? This is what I cannot stand about our society/culture civilian and military. Someone higher up or famous faces serious charges which are usually dropped, they get a slap on the wrist, or nothing as serious as what the average soldier/citizen would receive in the same situation. It goads me that we have such a system whereas a higher rank or prominence in society warrants lesser punishment, if any.
In my opinion, the higher the rank or position, the more you should KNOW how wrong something is and thus the more severe the punishment should be.

Anyone who has held a security clearance or signed an ND agreement knows that this behavior and breach of policy is absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately, we will likely witness another exams of money and power and how they can buy you immunity. She may not get the nomination because of this but she will never see a day in jail. Hopefully the FBI and the Justice Department remember their oaths and bring to bear some form of justice.

Her account, her responsibility. If I send a SSN that isn't encrypted I'm toast. She gets TS e-mails and people want to give her a pass because someone else may have removed the markings. BS.....

like as if she didn't know those emails were classified, even with the marking removed. Give me a break.

Sgt Kelli Mays - Actually, since HRC was the senior person at State Dept and the Original Classification Authority (OCA) it was her responsibility to safeguard the information in her organization. That was her job, that is part of being a senior leader.
