Should we extend Army Basic? Soldiers looking to re-enlist would need to attend, too?

The Army is looking to extend the length of basic training to get back to basics and dealing with social media. To ensure current soldiers have the same benefit, those requesting to re-enlist would owe that extra time at basic training prior to their re-enlistment ceremony.

LOL!!!
Ha ha ha ha!
And what day is today again????
But for the sake of argument, I'll bite. Originally my thought was "oh, helllllllllll no", but then I thought about it, and I realized, it could be a fun and--dare I even think it--"nostalgic" trip back to Benning.

SFC (Join to see)
CW4 (Join to see) Surely not Chief. Between SGM Plumley and CPT John Miller it's a go....

For those newly enlisting... Yes. I would say a heavier focus on weapons training and of course continuing with PT.
For those that would have to come back yes, but not the standard BCT experience that the new Soldiers would experience. Treat it like any regular training, a rehash of things like Land Nav, Weapons Qual, etc... Then of course regular PT with the new Soldiers.
Right now BCT is 10 Week 3 Days I think. Maybe extend it to 12 or 14 weeks to allow for the increased time on weapons.

I thought it was serious for the first few lines...until I got to CSM Basil Plumley being named as "the senior enlisted soldier for Training and Readiness Command"

I went through Marine Corps boot camp at the age of 35 1/2. It kicked my ass.

So looking at this, say it was three years ago and I'm a TSgt with a line for Master and am re-enlisting. I'm expected to go back to Lackland for 6-8 weeks to be screamed at about hospital corners and folded t-shirts by people I potentially outrank, all while I'm about to become a SNCO?
EDIT - DAMMIT! I got getted... TWO DAYS AFTER! :P I thought I escaped April Fools this year.

I could see extending basic for incoming Soldiers but I highly doubt you will get any seasoned vets trying to go back through that goat show.
