Yep! I'm giving this spoiled, ignorant, disrespectful POS, Emma Becker, her two minutes of fame because I just cannot seem to maintain my anger.

1. WTH IS WRONG WITH OUR YOUTH?
2. WHAT THE HELL ARE HER PARENTS TEACHING HER?
3. With shit like this, I really think taking her little Twitter privileges away is a great start at punishment.

But I know! We protect her right to say something that's absolutely unforgivable. I'm not perfect...

UPDATE:
I'm getting asked "why are you spreading this or that," or actually being TOLD to stop... So here is my response to that!!!

I want this to follow her for the rest of her years. I want employers to look her up and see this. Do I want her on welfare? No, But I want her to know, like with so MANY others, that what you say CAN BE HELD AGAINST YOU!!!

UPDATE (2):
How many of us Killed every single day we were in the military? I know I have been asked if the military was just awful, people thinking we are always riding HUMVEES or shooting people, living in tents... Have y'all been to McDill AFB? That place is AWESOME! I always answered that it was probably the most fun and most thrilling job I had ever had WHILE DEPLOYED, other than that, it is like every other persons work day. So no, We dont "Literally" only get paid to kill people.

UPDATE (3) :
I mean this kind of stuff goes back to the Vietnam War and even before that. It's about damn time, I say, that we stand up for ourselves instead of turning the other cheek like we always do.

UPDATE (4):
And heck yeah, I feel we are deserved some sort of respect. I don't ask for it tho, unless it is from my daughter. Those that think we shouldn't unless we were called up, I mean, seriously??? Whatever. If you feel we can be disrespected, not only as Service Members, but also as adults, well, that would explain your vote down and I have nothing for you.

So, Freaking have fun with this and don't take it that seriously. It isn't supposed to be. Jesus
With that said, I hope y'all have a great day.

At least she capitalized Marines. Now maybe she is using literally correctly instead of as "figuratively" and she is giving us a "Heroes' Welcome?" She did say Kill instead of Murder, which is rather nice, and it is great that she acknowledges that it is a team effort. I mean, I would like for the Marines to take all the credit, but seriously the USAF really does deserve a big portion of this, and heck the Army does the lion's share as well. The Marines just have Name Brand Recognition is all.

I really appreciate you giving us some recognition. For some reason, everyone forgets that our aircraft actually carry weapons. We're trying our best, really.

First, Why do the Marines get to be first? Always the Marines then the rest of us. Hey I killed people too! She better recognize!
Second, Twitter is for douche bags that can't use Facebook. You are not that important that I need to know what that small brain has going on all the time.
Third, What better job can you have than getting paid for doing something you love doing?
Last, Sure I get paid to kill people, but I eat the babies for free!

Speaking of The Marines. And satire.
BTW, from Wikipedia: Tom served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957, working at the National Security Agency.Despite holding a master's degree in an era when American conscripts often lacked a high school diploma, Lehrer served as an enlisted soldier, achieving the rank of Specialist Third Class (later retitled "Specialist-4" and currently "Specialist"), which he described as being a "corporal without portfolio."

This is the reason why I feel that EVERYONE should have to do at the very least 4 years in any branch of service our country has once they graduate from high school. Kids now a days have no respect for what veterans/active-duty members are doing daily to give them the freedoms that they abuse. As as side note ... if she was my kid, she would get her a** kicked for tweeting something like this!! But ... that's just me.

I disagree with compulsory service as well. However, I suggest we offer sovereign franchise to those that can hack it. Allow only former service members the right to vote or hold public office. Not that being in the military makes a person smarter or better, but it does teach a person exactly what the demands of freedom actually are. A civilian has no notion of this, not through stupidity but sheer lack of experience.

At least require federal politicians, those who hold a seat in Congress, or the Senate, and especially the Presidency, to serve a "term" in the military before they serve a term in political office. "Older men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die." - Herbert Hoover. Another quote I like is from William Westmoreland, "Military don't start wars, politicians start wars." If someone is going to tell me I have to go and risk my life, I'd like to know that they actually understand what they are asking, because they have been through it themselves.

1. Much like Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS I think she needs a lesson in the meaning of "literally" vs "figuratively."
2. This smacks of sour grapes. Some young Marine was mean to her, there was probably an attraction component one way or another or both that went south.
3. Her words, though apparently ignorant, do carry a literal truth. We are paid to kill people. This is a fact all too often minimized and ignored. As I've maintained elsewhere literally every function the military serves other than organized killing can be done by someone else. The media flips out when someone like Gen Mattis says (albeit out of context) "sometimes it's fun to kill people..." I want to ask society "what did you think you were paying us for?"
4. The military serves the wishes of the civilian policymakers, which are elected by the people. We kill who they want us to. If the people want their elected officials to direct less killing or the killing of different people in different places, it is the job of the people to force those officials to direct it. In the end, if you don't like what the military is doing, you better be writing letters, marching in the streets, fundraising for the opposition and making speeches daily. Otherwise you're just flapping your yap. Because a Marine was mean to you.

SGT (Join to see) I "literally" have 4 hours of work to do that I am not because I am trolling this post. I "figuratively" want to drink about 50 beers and flush the work down the toilet. Not sure if we have a "Best post of the year", but I am going to put you in for it!

We are all trained killers regardless of our MOS. I was top of the scores and am still very good. Back in the day I got a perfect score with a 203 and I shot it left handed--put the leif sight on upside down. An infantry 1SGT complained to mine, saying he had soldiers who had not qualified. My !SGT had been Special forces and ranger and all sorts of good stuff in VN, said he was not to question his soldiers. i did it again. The infantry 1SG didn't have anything to say. He did a great facing movement to the rear.

You are probably right. She probably thought she was going to be a Marine Dependa, and things went South, most likely because of her attitude or lack of fidelity. No matter why, she has "Sour Grapes" Syndrome.

I would not be so brazen as to say "we kill people", rather we are assigned a mission and it is our duty to complete the mission. It is not my fault if you step in front of my bullet, or I drop a bomb on your head.

Freedom of speech is one off the tenants of of our society. Sometimes what you hear makes the skin crawl. You just cannot fix stupid, however. Seems like a product of an everything goes parenting, zero lessons in history and government, and complete failure in common sense. If Congresswoman Pelosi ever had a daughter then this little jewel is it! Semper Fi Marines!!
