What are you dreaming, soldier,
What is it you see?
A tall gray Gothic tower,
And a linden tree.
You speak so sadly, soldier,
Sad and wistfully . . .
I cannot hear the tower bell
In the swirling sea.
What meaning has it, soldier,
A tower, bell, and tree?
Nothing, nothing - only once
It meant my life to me.

I've been to Boston and the surrounding areas many times, Sgt Tom Cunnally. My work took me there frequently and I was able to see many of the historical sites for which Boston is famous.

That's a familiar place....We used to rent the Hockey rink @ BC (where the football stadium is now) for $300 a session back in the 70's and play hockey....All us Brookline guys...good times.

When I played Hockey at McHugh Ice Rink we would skate to center ice, take off our gloves, shake hands, swap cheat shots, push and shove, then let the fists fly and occasionally a hockey game would break out..

Chestnut Hill Reservoir a great place to walk or run a few miles especially in the fall when the leaves begin to change but you have to watch out for Canadian Geese.

SGT Damaso V Santana - I just came back to Boston 3 years ago after living in CA from 1961- 2013...it is more beautiful than I remembered & was so proud of Bostonians after the massacre at the Boston Marathon in April of that year.
