I personally use blousing bands, but I was just wondering what everyone did.

PV2 (Join to see) Blousing rubbers, condoms were an emergency field expedient.
As to the 'blouse; For a while, I used small dog chains, wrapped with tape so they wouldn't bunch up to maintain a draped blouse of my trousers. I have also used 1 gallon GI cans, split length wise, cut into 1/2 and wrapped with tape to protect my legs from the raw edges. Heck of a 'drape' LTC Stephen C. Though I don't like them, I use the little rubber blousing bands. I HAD a set of bands from USMC, but misplaced them somewhere.

The green blousing bands. They only cost .25 cents at clothing sales. I can't stand to see Soldier's other than Basic Training PVT's stuff all that extra leftover pants in their boots. The taping of the pants and stovepipe are no longer authorized but I did look squared away. Well that's back when we could actually iron the uniform and could have creases.

I've used all three over the course of my career but I found that tucking them into my boots worked best. When I used blousing rubbers if you sit down mine tended to ride up so you could see exactly how green (or not!) my socks were.

I used Blousing Springs. When you squat they do not rise above the boot. I thought it looket better.

Yes I was. In basic I had to use the rubber bands. In jump boots, I tried the rubber bands, but I liked the look of the bloused pants. They looked awesome with my spit shined boots, which I still have BTW. (-;

Those blousing bands work wonders man. Hell of a lot better than the draw string and tucking. Personally, I think it looks better if done right.

CSM Charles Hayden Passed 7/29/2025 - Hell no. I have no need nor desire to jump out of a plane that is capable of landing with a chute on my back packed by someone else. Besides, I tuck them because that is what my DS's taught me to do.

The pull strings. I blouse them over the top of my boot tightly, then pull them up so that they rest on top of the boot. This allows a little air flow and helps keep me cool in the summer. Stays put, doesn't drop down my boots, but doesn't chafe my leg either.

Well this is a tricky one. When you where allowed to peg your Pants I used boot bands and then tucked in my boots. They where about 2 - 2 1/2 inches wide and Velcro. Now that you are not allowed to do that any more I use the little rubber bands with the hooks. I also would use black electrical tape also. The chiggers and ticks didn't like the adhesive.
