Your unit supply should issue these to you when you arrive

In 20+ years, I've never seen a supply room issue those. Not saying you're wrong, only that you apparentyly have had far better supply NCO's over the years.

“”CAN DO””. The regimental crests I might have in my history box were slightly worn and perhaps a bit tarnished the last time I was in the that box. The “gold whistle’ was for dress up days!
The photo is of myself as 1SG, B Co, 3rd Bn,15th Battle Group, 63rd ID, USAR in 1962.

LTC Stephen C. Those Khakis were not allowed to have wrinkles!

Like the Staff of IX Corps CDR in 1954, LTG Canham, Cotton fatigues were stiffly starched!

CSM Charles Hayden - I loved the lightweight Khakis. Wish we still had them.

Just look for the unit here, and it lists all of their unit awards.

Where do I find out a specific unit's awards/citation to wear on ASUs?

It is great that you want to get ahead for your next duty station but spending the time and money will be for naught unless you plan on showing up your first few days in ASU or the new army greens. If showing up in OCPs then you can just wait for your unit supply and NCOIC to get you squared away.

HRC should have the orders available, if you can't find it through HRC you can reach out to your unit historian if they have one. To actually get it you can ask supply but that depends on your supply. Absolutely try and get it from supply though, would suck to waste money on a unit award you have to remove after you get assigned to another unit. I would say ask any NCO, but my unit was a good example of not everyone tracking we had a MUC. Granted 80% of the people in the unit were relatively new to the unit.

Theoretically, your unit supply will issue them as part of in-processing. Meaning you should save yourself some money and just wait until you get there. But....
My experience is that this has always been more theory than reality.

Your unit should have an official "lineage and honors" which includes a list of unit awards. This is USUALLY kept and maintained by the S1, but not always (some units appoint an official historian as en extra duty, which may be outside the S1). It can USUALLY be found on the unit's official webpage, if you look hard enough, but not always. But be careful! Some units have different awards for different companies. This is much rarer in Infantry units, than it is in support units (who get "sliced" out much more often) so you have LESS likelihood of it happening, but still be aware that your unit awards may depend on which specific Company you are assigned to. Which circles back around to... wait until you get to your unit.
