Who enjoyed designing, building or playing in tree-houses or tree-stands when you were young?

Growing up with the in the 1950's and 1960's I watched many Tarzan movies and the Swiss Family Robinson movie which included elaborate tree-houses. In the neighborhood I grew up in outside of Philadelphia there were no really big trees; but, there were some trees that could support tree houses. On Vacations with my family we went to areas with lots of trees when we went camping in state and national parks. I saw a few tree houses and many tree stands outside the parks; but, never inside them - probably because of park rules.
Did you play in tree-houses and or hunt from tree stands when you were young? Do you help your children and grandchildren do the same?
