I have been a member of RallyPoint since March 2013 and a contributing member since last summer. I am generally pleased with most of the direction that RallyPoint has moved forward on. Some changes take more get more getting used to than others; but, I think the communication from administrators helps a lot.
Will RallyPoint expand this year?

LOL. Volume and content, yes. Tenor, and value...well, hope springs eternal.

It hasn't looked promising lately, but Spring Training is coming up soon...

LTC Stephen F. I think it will grow - there will always be a few negative members, but for the most part there are a lot of great leaders, thinkers, motivators, writers, and great veterans, active duty service members, civilian supporters and recrutiers on RP! Only one direction to go and that is up!

So, colonel... Are you saying I should post MORE or LESS of my "signature graphics"?

LTC Stephen F. - Colonel; I've always wanted to meet the person who was devious enough to route that one through committee before anyone realized what they were approving.

CPT L S - Captain; That's because, as officers, we are never flustered or in a hurry - even though we sometimes seem to have a rather rapid "leisurely pace".

We have to look like we always lead a life of ease and leisure so that the Junior Officers will perform their traditional task of "To die - INSPIRINGLY" without qualms.

Well, either that, or because the Adj knows that the Senior Officer is getting on in years and needs a bathroom break more frequently than most of us do.

Will the volume, content and tenor of communication significantly improve on RallyPoint in 2016?

I don't know if leap year will have any significance, but I'm really impressed with the questions, links, and update material. So far I've not seen any flame wars going on. This new change has increased my posting links, although sometimes I think I'm posting too much liked material. I think RP will definitely grow and continue improving. One thing I'm looking forward to are changes in the verification and blank faces of members. I don't think if a person can't get verified, they don't belong on RP. That's my opinion and you know what they say about opinions. I refuse to become involved with anyone who can't show their face and have a decent bio. I'm looking forward to a great 2016 on RP.

LTC Stephen C., LTC John Shaw, I got a sternly worded note saying that I would not be able to post any more if I didn't stop tagging discussions improperly. I solved the problem by not posting very many new discussions, and limiting those that I did post to one or two tags.

My problem was that I didn't have a list of the tags available and I had just picked those showing up on the popular topics panel that seemed appropriate. I guess I was wrong in my choices.

If I got fined points I didn't notice as I don't pay attention to points.

WOW! LTC Stephen F., That hurts my feelings that you were treated like that. I always enjoyed those food topics, especially the bean topics. Those were humorous. I think all of us that posted in the other format received notes about our mistakes. That's why I don't post as much as I did. I don't give a hoot about the points. I post topics I think are interesting to me and the members. I'm really sorry you endured that Sir.

CPT L S, I think RP has a lot of admins, and occasionally one of them will have a bad day. It is unfortunate to be in front of the cannon when the hang-fire cooks off.

I fully expect the volume, and quality of communication on RallyPoint to grow in leaps and bounds this year. That is my prediction and I am sticking to it :-)

We've been seeing a lot of early success once we updated our content creation and provided more options for members to share information. So far the link sharing has been more popular than I expected, the quality of questions within Answers has much improved, and I've been seem lots of new profiles though my updates that I've never would have seen before.

Well, it is sure to expand. RP has been doing so at an exponential rate as long as I've been paying attention. The quality... well... let's just say I hope that some members come to figure out what the culture is here and lay off the personal attacks and ad hominem arguments.
I've had some awesome discussions here, and some frustrating ones I just want to walk away from. By and large, the membership here is awesome... even the ones I disagree with.

CPT L S - If I were singling you out, you would know. You always do.
I don't have to agree with someone to enjoy the conversation and maybe learn something. I love the debate.

CPT L S - well if you're a debate club guy, then I would point out that you have a habit of falling into rhetorical cycles instead of exploring options to further your positions or to undermine others'.
Picking on the JV team doesn't work if you want to bark with the big dogs.

Hopefully we will add more members adding some more variety and unique nuances to our discussions. I am always interested in what Younger People have to say.

I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see something on my Twitter Feed directing me to a Rallypoint Link for another Member.
