Back in the 1980s I was into Radio Control Aircraft, when I visited one of my friends that was stationed at Yakota AB in Japan we went to one of the largest R/C hobby stores in Japan. I met Saburo Sakai there, he was doing something for the store, a promotion of some type. It was only a brief meeting and a nod but he impressed me with his demeanor, very reserved. To look at him you would never know he had ever done much at all.

The "64" clearly was a reference to Sakai.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - Yes, loosely based on Sakai’s bio and referenced in the export trailer.
