Models are only as good as the data that goes into them.
You have to use something to plan, or you get caught flat-footed.
This will be a long and drawn out affair until a vaccine is discovered. Things being "not so bad" is cold comfort to the thousands that are sick or the thousands who have died.

I don't believe their numbers of those who died from the virus either. They are recording all deaths as coronavirus even if someone had a stroke, heart attack or terminal cancer.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - I would imagine that at the state level, death certificates will be analyzed to determine what really happened.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - The feds will likely never have accurate information. I imagine that administrative tasks are getting short-cutted pretty universally in the hardest hit areas.

Someone might want to tell Francisco Ojeda that the Covid 19 website is not a government website. IT is operated by The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) is an independent global health research center at the University of Washington. It is not a "conservative administration's website to track COVID-19 cases". Incredible!
