The best medics I knew were on the DMZ Korea 1973, both E-6's, they took care of everything, the Capt. doctor wasn't worth anything, he was a foot doctor.
When asked what was he doing on the DMZ, he said he heard he could get promoted faster in a hostel fire zone area.
The two E6's were straight out of Vietnam, and took real good care of the troops on the Z.
