Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs
Some people would think "rebel" would be a funny topic for military and veterans but actually, we are rebels. We are different from the majority of American society who rarely think about serving their country any more. We stand up for what we believe in. I think that qualifies us as rebels. And certainly those who led the way and served before it was accepted to do so (minorities, women) had a definite streak of rebellion.

I expect that you have rebelled at various times in your life for some good causes; with bad behavior at times for selfish purposes and now as a believer you are a rebel of different sort – fearfully and wonderfully made John.
I pray that you and I are spiritually mature and that we demonstrate courage of conviction in the face of persecution for our faith in Christ in this periodically hostile culture, my brother-in-Christ SFC John Lich.
Thank YOU, dear God for dwelling with the soul of each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters. YOU sanctify our soul and prune us of rebellious desires against YOUR plan for each of us.
I lift leaders, managers, commanders and elected official to YOU dear God. I pray that YOU do whatever needs to be done in each case for these people to pay attention to YOUR guidance. Enable each to become servant leaders focused on those they lead to train, support and employ in the missions, goals and plans.
I pray that parents seek guidance from YOU dear God and that YOU bless each parent with discernment on how each child learns best
I pray for parents of toddlers and teenagers. Enable each parent to stand firm with love and compassion as they deal with rebellious behavior and testing of their love, standards and boundaries.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters understands that God is focused on what we do. Enable each one of us to love and respect each person we meet and develop a rapport with those willing to discuss with us whatever YOU prompt. Empower each of us to be better listers to those pouring out their soul to us.
I pray that the progressive congressmen and women who are focused on expanding socialism, expanding induced abortion, and opposed to expressions of faith in this nation will each be shaken to their core in the coming months. Save as many as YOU are willing and deliver us from the rest.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Wednesday night.

You ever been in formation with all those eyes on you for something done? I had a Top Kick that would disagree with my positions. Strangely enough he was right most of the time. Sometimes I was right. Top was a very fair man who I think was willing to listen, despite sometimes saying "there is no Graham way in the Army". I realized that many times I was a sounding board; and many times he was a buffer. I learned a lot from that man.
