I had posted last year about my Wife's Great, Great, Great Grandfather who was a World War 1 sniper (#2 in Canada with over 115 kills) who had to lie and say he was mixed race (Metis) so he would be allowed to join the Army. He was Also Royal Canadian Mountain Police and a Rodeo Cowboy as well. It was on the National News tonight. Marilyn Buffalo featured in this video is My Wife's Aunt. She is 100% Plains Cree Indian just like Corporal Henry Norwest. COL M Stock SSG James J. Interesting story and history. As a side note hearing that it was your wife's 4X granfather makes me feel very old. My 4X Grandfathers were all born in the late 1700s, early 1800s

Makes me feel old also. My grandfather's two older brothers served during WWI. My grandfather was too young for WWI and too old for WWII.

Remembrance Day ceremonies in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
He also has two Canteens from the Canadian Legion named after him!
My wife was here at this ceremony on 11-11-2015 and Henry Norwest was mentioned.
