Well SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I have been found guilty in the following:
1. company grade Article 15 as a PV2 in 1975 for being drunk and missing barracks guard duty;
2. Commandants board at USMAPS in 1975 for kicking in a barracks door while being drunk on my birthday
3. Brigade board as a USMA cadet at West Point which helped me become a century man by serving at least 100 punishment tours as a cadet. As a plebe I got drunk and went to the room which would have been my room on the floor above and threw up in the bed of the company commander of the company above mine.
4. General Officer grade Article 15 as a 2LT in 1982 for DUI; I was passed out between the road and the railroad tracks when the polizei picked me up. I came to in the MP cell at Bamberg.
I was what was considered to be a "field soldier" not a garrison soldier.
I was in trouble many times between 1972 and 1982. By the grace of God I survived long enough to recognize my need for Him in September 1987. I stopped drinking by 1990.
I was kicked out of the active duty Army in October 1992 for failing to be promoted 2 times to Major. Then I joined the USAR and was promoted to Major. My past behavior made it difficult to get promoted. I asked God for LTC and after being passed over twice He allowed me to get promoted in April 2000 the month before I would have been forced out again. I was able to serve after 9-11-2001 because I had been promoted and served as a mobilized soldier.

Good job LTC Stephen F., you were a rebel rouser indeed! Glad you quit drinking as did I. It was the root of all my problems. And I relate well to what you said, I was a better field soldier than a garrison soldier.

SPC Dee Bartlett - what do mean by "One man's Article 15 is another man's best seller. Take note."?
I have been processed under Article 15 and I have administered Article 15 procedures for my soldiers at times.

Got arrested for DUI in Lampasas, Texas and was so happy i got out of jail that morning, went out celebrating in Lampasas again with my twin brother, both recently back from Nam and got arrested again that night by same cop! It seems like all our stupid shit involves drinking. I'm happy to say those days are over and while I had a good career, I often think how things might have been different without all this craziness.

I'm sure the arresting officer was appreciative of the consistency. Makes for less paperwork?
