I served with this unit during the transition from 4th BN, 10th Infantry under Ltc Jack Jacobs and Maj Mike Snell to the 187th Rakkasans under then promoted Ltc Snell.
Col Snell then led the 193rd Brigade during Operation Just Cause.

And you're a Mortarman! We had to cross paths. I was B/co's Mortar PSG, then Ltc Snell gave me 4.2 in CSC.
I too had to finish my tour on Sherman following the realignment.
Hope all is well and best wishes to you.

1SG Leslie Thomas I was wondering what these unit designations were. It was all greek to me.
Skip and I served in the 4/20 Inf Bn, at Ft Clayton. I was there from 1978 to 1983. Skip had left for the Atlantic Side by then. I left as the Medical Platoon Sergeant.
From Panama, I was assigned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C.. I watched "Just Cause" on CNN.
