Thanks for sharing an interesting perspective COL Mikel J. Burroughs. For some reason my first thought was about Hunter S Thompson when I read your discussion.

COL Charles Williams - It seems you may not be familiar with Hunter S Thompson who was the inventor and master of Gonzo journalism. He used lines like How to win friends and influence people" is his sarcastic way in the Fear and Loathing book series. The first book of his I reads was "Hell's Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs" then I read "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and "Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail '72"
Duke in Doonesbury was modeling after him. Thompson blew his brains out with a shotgun when he got tired of life.
