This is a Continuing Story that I had posted on rallypoint over a year ago. It appears this Navy Admiral gave up his career to save his Shipmates. Yes, he violated the trust by leaking classified information to make sure his pet project was completed. The ship is now up and running. Built on time and on budget. That is a rarity in today's government contracts.

Vice admiral Norman was the number two man in the Canadian Department of Defense. He had spent over a decade coming up with an interim plan to lease a supply ship for the Canadian Navy. The Canadian Navy had 2 supply ships but they broke down or they rusted through. It is most likely true that the vice-admiral leaked information to the contractors so the media would publish it. Prime minister Trudeau was going to pull the plug on the program he had been

working for a long time. I am sure political pressure from prime minister Trudeau's Shipyard Lobby to build a supply ship from the Canadian shipyards instead of leasing a used German Supply ship and retrofitting it to be used for the Canadian Navy. Prime minister Trudeau I'm sure purposely went after this Admiral because this Admiral made sure the project was completed but prime minister Trudeau had a sore Papa. He has never been interviewed by the RCMP and he is still with pay even though he doesn't have to report for Duty. This is an example of the Canadian military being neglected by both conservative and liberal politicians over the decades. 2 years ago, the last of last true destroyer of the Canadian Navy was retired due to it having rust problems. This is what happens when countries like Canada and Germany do not invest in their military infrastructure. This Admiral gave one for the Gipper because now his Shipmates have a functioning Supply ship at 8 no longer have to rely on other NATO countries to service their remaining frigates. Canada has not put at least 1% of its gross domestic product into its defense. Because of this, the Canadian Navy is basically broken. This goes back a few Administrations and this Admiral was desperate to fix the problem in the fastest possible way and at the least amount of cost. Unfortunately, the Prime Minister saw differently. He gave one for the Gipper and now the Canadian Navy has a functioning Supply ship.
