Great quotes this morning! Sometimes all we can do is just be there as a listening ear. We never know how that may change someone's day. Thank you!

Very true and good morning, COL Mikel J. Burroughs. It's hard to ask for help when you are always there for others. But sometimes the answer is just that. You are human too. Cheers.

You are so right. I am so used to helping everyone else that recently when I needed help it didn’t cross my mind to ask anyone until a friend said, “How can I support you?” That lead to three friends volunteering to help me.

Maj Marty Hogan - Agreed - I think back in my day (75, 76, 77, etc.) it was the looking weak aspect. There are a number of reasons we don't ask for help Marty. The list is long, but I agree with you on your perspective!

I joined in 81, we had a lot of Vietnam vets still around. It wasn't broke back then. It started breaking down in the 90's in my eyes and took a nose dive in the 2000's. When I retired, not log after I became a DOD Contractor. Not the cushy kind of contractor. I deployed with the Army to Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait. Worn the same uniform, ate and slept with the units. So I've been doing it for a long time.
