That is interesting CW5 Jack Cardwell. I remember in the early 1980s leading an infantry patrol in German wood with Tollwut signs indicating rabies.
The rabid raccoons which had been introduced to Germany shrieked like a banshee in their death throws. Needless to say nobody fell asleep on that patrol :-)

While they look warm, fuzzy, and friendly to most people... pound for pound raccoons are the toughest animal out there.

As my wife and I consider where we might move to escape California, we find our choices narrowing. Here we must consider, are "Zombie Raccoons" more terrifying than "Zombie Voters" who keep electing and reelecting the worst among us? No, that is not hyperbolic. Consider the newest legislation in CA in which it will be illegal for police to shoot a perp brandishing an imitation gun...
