LTC (Join to see) Ships are Rust Magnets, Very Labor Intensive, Very Maintenance Intensive. All Sailors are Firefighters and all Sailors become experts at Chipping and Repainting. Every Several Years they have to go into Dry Dock and they get Field Stripped and put back together again, Since I Served on Nukes it was called RCOH Reactor Core Overhaul and when I reported aboard Both the California and Arkansas I swear there was More of them on the Pier than Inside the Dry Dock.

LTC (Join to see) - My Son, My Wee Baby Boy has seen the Missouri in Bremerton in the White/Ghost/Retired Fleet where it was turning into a Giant Rusticle and when He Took His Bride on their Delayed Honeymoon to Hawaii He saw the New and Improved Missouri doesn't look at all like the same ship We Remembered.
