In another posting on RP, we saw 41 phrases that only people in the military understand. Many words and phrases used in wars over the years find their way into civilian use. However, I have heard little of the phrases that we used in Vietnam. Have you? I wrote an essay about this a few years ago and it seems that few others have.

I still use some of those terms. One I use that you omitted is dinky dau.
