I don't think revoking a clearance would be a federal crime- honestly most TS go away after so many years. Secret goes after 10 years from the date of your last review. Whether you are in or not- it has to be renewed- 5 years for a TS at the cost of $3k- 15K each time. This is a really silly think for the media to get hooked up- what about those terrorist camps in America? Ah yes socialism must be promoted....not on the agenda card.

TS Clearance is a privilege. Just like a drivers license.
Screw up and you loose it when the Gov decides.

A security clearance is not permanent. It is not a right. It requires a need to know.

It is also not something to barter for.
