I’m not defending China, but, “The court documents say the wholesaler and his co-conspirators sent samples of actual military uniforms and other items to Chinese manufacturers to duplicate. Before mass-producing the goods, the manufacturers got samples and photos of the real deal, including hangtags and labels, to make sure theirs looked legitimate. The process involved copying brand names and trademarks”.

That certainly appears as though a US wholesaler simply used a Chinese manufacturer to pull a fast one, make a quick buck, and f*ckover the military. It certainly doesn’t appear as though the Chinese were twirling their evil mustaches, hatching plans to flood the military with their knockoffs.

People will meet standards you inspect, not the standards you expect. The Air Force expected fire resistant material, NIR, etc. They didn’t inspect the goods they received. On the ‘who’s to blame’ list, China is near the bottom in this particular case.

" A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty."
If true, he deserves to get hammered for it.
