What blows my mind which I also think is a little humorous is the Democrats allowing Socialists to run as Democrats, it's a hari-kari move that is starting to bite them hard. Socialists and Moderate Democrats will never get along together long-term. Socialists want all Moderates gone or silenced. Socialists do get along with Communists more so than they ever will with Moderate Democrats.

Moved too far left is the rest of the quote. Just as the GOP has moved too far right. We need more centrist so we can get the best candidate.

I can see half your perspective but not all of it. Yes there are components of the far right that won election that I think are causing issues. Though I think they are still small in number and appeal. Trumps primary or core appeal is the same as Ross Perot's was. Businessman with no previous political background that was able to get things done in the Business World. I think we saw that segment of the electorate start to grow from back when Congressman Anderson ran in 1980, then again with Ross Perot and now finally and successfully with Trump. I think the we are fed up movement originally started in 1980 though in response to Carter and steadily grew from there

I would love to see a strong centric party that can break the two party log jam. Right now we have a bunch of Independents like me just voting for the better of two evils.
