I shot and carried a wheelgun for many years before I got the first auto-loader I could depend on. I still have my Colt Trooper Mk 3, which I bought in the early 80's. It is over 40 years old, but it still shoots as good as the day I bought it. I still bring it out once in a while - just because.

I have a Colt Trooper MK3. My father was issued it when he was a State Trooper. SGT Steve McFarland

SGT Steve McFarland yes! When they issued new guns the Troopers had the option to buy their old gun.
