I'm surprised that they aren't considering removing the tail rotor in this advanced design.

Then they would need to add another main rotor MDs NOTAR system turns out to have speed limitations.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr not sure why. Tail rotor doesn't add speed. Also, don't see why second main rotor would be needed. Lastly as a scout, the noise reduction would be an asset

CPT Jack Durish read newtons third law of motion if you do not cancel the torque the helicopter spins like a top and drops like a rock.
If you have a strong gut YouTube lost tail rotor. Not as bad a a lost Jesus but but likely will have the same result.
Two roters fix that problem as do tail rotors.
