"Keep some personal money. It can be tough to go from being single to sharing every money decision with a spouse. If you opt to merge your finances completely, consider allowing each other a little discretionary money each month."
This goes a LONG way toward minimizing fights.

Amen. Ladies, there is nothing more emasculating than having to beg for money, especially if your man is the sole bread winner. If your hubby is that bad with the funds at least let him have an allowance, surprise him with ammo when he's been a good boy, and let him drag you fishing/shooting.

This is a tough prospect. Many I know have separate bank accounts to ensure that this problem does not rear its ugly head. One, for the husband; one for the wife, and one for combined expenses. One may cover the rent/mortgage; the other, the vehicles, insurance, and assorted life expenses.
