Thank you my friend MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. for making us aware that Germans are pushing back. Before Germany became a state in 1871, Germans pushed back routinely and sometime violently [30 years war for instance].
1. Germans pushed back in the 1920s and 1930s aligning with communists, pacifists and national socialists. The national socialists purged the communalists, Jews, slaves, homosexuals, children with birth defects before they purged the SA in the knight if the long knives.
2. Germans are not monolithic by any means - Bavaria is predominantly right wing and Roman Catholic. Other states are predominantly Lutheran and protestant. Liberal and conservative Germans tend to be well-educated and opinionated :-)
3. The refugees from ISIS accepted by the German government caused significant problems and many Germans were opposed to various aspects of the refugee issue,.

Don’t say “we”. Neo-Nazis are significant part of the anti-shutdown march in Germany

Neo-Nazis, others hold massive Berlin protest against virus restrictions
Some 20,000 people rally outside Brandenburg gate, calling pandemic 'the biggest conspiracy theory'; politician dubs protesters, who shun masks and social distancing, 'Covidiots'

LTC Stephen F. - The “Black Lives Matter” movement is partnered with the nonprofit group, Thousand Currents. This is important because the Vice Chair of the Thousand Currents nonprofit, is Susan Rosenberg......Irony

MSgt Steve Sweeney - It's a true statement. Rosenberg is on the Board, but has no impact on the day to day operations, to my understanding. And 1000 Currents is a 503c3 non-profit, managing contributions for BLM and other causes. It's no different that a church donating their tax-free money to anti-abortion protesters and terrorists.

No, there are idiots all over the world. That's why the pandemics of the past managed to kill off major portions of the population.

One example was the 1918 pandemic. There are some sad similarities between then and now
