"As a leader if you’re only looking in the mirror you are looking at yourself, while in the window you can see all of the wonderful people and possibilities that surround you.”

Great topic today. Reminds me of the 1970s trend of management by walking around. The idea was to get out and see what was really happening, not just what was reported.

Climb out a window and have a great RED Friday, RallyPoint.

Great meme of the kid at the window. Reminds me of how we ALWAYS played OUTSIDE, rain or shine! Kids today are too engrossed in computer games and social media. The nearby steel mill had a steam whistle every 8 hrs at 2400, 0800 and 1600; all preceded by a 10 minute whistle. The 1550 hrs whistle was the warning to get your butt home; and later, same rule when the streetlights started to glow then light.

SSG Bill McCoy - Memories of a lumber mill when my sons were young. Those cabins no longer exist back home, and I don't think the mill is there either, but I have to say I miss both :-)

I hope you are wise enough to learn from your own successes and failures as well vicariously reviewing the successes and failures of others. I expect you share what you have learned and are learning with those you lead and those who rely on you. But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, [Titus 2:1-3 ESV] my brother-in-Christ 1SG Steven Imerman.

I pray that YOU bless each of us with discernment to learn vicariously from others as well as from our own experience. LORD YOUR Word endures forever and YOU store YOUR Word in the soul of each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters. By YOUR grace each time we read YOUR Word or hear YOUR Word we are blessed by the illumination of YOUR Word by Holy Spirit. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. [2 Timothy 3:16-17]
I pray for a sufficient increase of the Fruit of the Spirit faithfulness and self-control for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it dear LORD. YOU are the source of all light and YOU shine to us and through us. I pray that YOU empower and motivate each of us to demonstrate love and respect to each person we interact with. ‘“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. [Matthew 5:14-16 ESV]
LORD I lift the disillusioned, those clinging to hope, the grieving widows, widowers and orphans, the homeless as risk of injury and illness to YOU. I pray that YOU provide comfort and a large measure of hope and love to each one tonight. I pray that YOU guide trustworthy individuals to encourage and comfort and prayer warriors to intercede for each one. 'So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any

Well hopefully you can some me and family time on this RED Friday and the weekend Maj Robert Thornton - thanks for the great quotes today brother...

“Today’s message is about ‘window’ and ‘windows!” They can be the window to your very soul and heart, or they can be the window you look out for adventure or all the wonderful people that are surrounding you, and window to those you can support and help. It could be your window to freedom. That leads me to this quote…

‘Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of the human spirt and human dignity.’ — Hebert Hoover

May you keep your windows of opportunity open and all the possibilities yet to come; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Open up your window and let the light shine in!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
