SFC (RET) DAVIS, JOE UPDATE OF THE DAY
RALLYPOINT NATION TODAY WAS THE FUNERAL OF ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS IN LIFE. I HAVE BEEN OFF THE NET, JUST TO REFLECT AND GET SOME TIME TO CLEAR MY MIND. MY HEART IS STILL BROKEN OF THE HEARTBROKEN LOSS OF MY CO-WORKER AND ARMY BATTLE BUDDY JAMES ARTHUR POSTELL.
Team - It is with great sadness that we wanted to let you know of the passing of one of our beloved DCMA Hampton family members.
James Postell, a Contracts Administrator and aspiring ACO on Team EHAE at Ft Eustis, passed away suddenly at home today, he was only 56 years old. James graduated from Excelsior College with an Associate's Degree, later eanring a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University and a Master's Degree in Acquisition and Procurement Management from Webster University. James served his country for over 22 years in the United States Army. He served two combat tours during Desert Shield/Desert Storm/Iraq and was stationed in Germany and Korea in addition to many other stateside assignments. Upon his retirement from the Army in 2008, James joined the federal workforce as a civilian at Fort Jackson, SC. He came to DCMA Hampton as a Contract Administrator in 2016 and was recently promoted to GS-12. James leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Katrina and three children, Jasmine, Jasia, and Kendrick.
Please keep James' family, loved ones and teammates in your thoughts and prayers during this painful time. James had a "larger than life" personality which lifted up those around him and he will be greatly missed.
At this time, we have only minor details of his passing, and we will relay more information as we receive it. Any service information, along with family preferences, etc, will also be passed along as soon as we learn more.
