Patti LaBelle - On My Own (Official Music Video) ft. Michael McDonald

This 1986 music video was/is the 1st time (I'm aware of) that two singers did a duet without getting together. While in separate cities they independently laid down their vocals that were subsequently mixed to produce the final released track. Additionally a video was produced in much the same way for the eye-candy. A metaphoric boost was added in the visual program by depicting the former-lovers separated coast-to-cost with LaBelle in the Big-Apple and McDonald on the Pacific-Coast. The voices are superb.
