Always hate when a solider dies in a training accident. I lost one in germany to a freak accident while HHB commander. SSG in charge of a FIST team leaving the main OP. It was in Jan and snow as deep and it was cold. He decided to drive the FISTV down the hill from the OP as the driver was inexperienced in snow as he was from FL. The track started to side slip, the vehicle dropped the right track off the road. Saplings caught under the left track rolling it on its top. He had the drivers hatch in the low open. Unfortunately when it rolled his head got caught between vehicle base and the low open hatch. When it rolled over the hammerhead for the GLLD caused the weight to shift forward and crush him. Awful circumstances. He left a wife and 2 children.
