If you or I ignored a subpoena, Congressional or not, do you think we'd be going to our day job or sitting in jail?

Sir,

I don't disagree with you. I will just say that somehow, for some reason, at that level there are just different rules. And it goes both ways.

(This isn't a whatabout, I promise. I think BOTH situations are a "rules for thee, but not for me" situations and am disgusted by BOTH of them. This is just as a reference of another situation that gets the "special" treatment...)

For instance, if you or I had handled classified the way that Hillary OR Trump had, would either of us be free men right now?

I believe that what they SHOULD do is show up, and plead the 5th on every single answer beyond name, rank, and serial number (name, and position for them). Either that or - if their refusal is based on the (arguably) illegitimate nature of the panel - then they go to court to quash the subpoenas. But they do not ignore them.

I do not agree with the existence of the Jan 6 Congressional inquiry - at least not in its current composition and scope. It is a matter for the DoJ, and Congress is interfering with that investigation. But since the panel DOES exist, rightfully or not, and since the panel DOES have subpoena authority, rightfully or not, you comply with subpoenas. It's just what a good citizen does.

When It Comes To Criminal Offences,
One Should Always Do Their Best To NOT Be Convicted;
And Plead INNOCENT, No Matter The Issue.
It's Up To Them To PROVE Your Guilt.
MAKE Them DO It,
Including The Use Of The 5th Amendment.
Never Give Any Information To The Prosecuting Attorney's
Which Will Help Them Convict You,
Not Only Of THIS Charge,
But Of Any OTHER Charges They Can Come Up With Due To
Inadvertent Comments You May Have Made.
KEEP IN MIND:
The ONLY Job Of The Prosecuting Attorney's Office Is To ....PROSECUTE,
And The Same With The Defense Attorney's Office..... DEFENSE.
And I Seriously DOUBT The TRUTH Is Of Any Interest To Either.

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney also, Washington d.c. had two military police companies available at their disposal but the dumb Democrats were too afraid to deploy them. Just think, I used to be a military police enlisted and platoon leader. You call them Master at Arms. Those two companies of master-at-arms MPS could have made a difference but Washington DC Democrats were too wimpy to make a decision. We could also blame the adjutant general or Major General of Washington DC who didn't want to commit them. Each National Guard has a two-star general. So before you start pointing at president Trump, think about those that could have made a difference who chose not to because they were too politically wimpy

I Have YET To Understand WHY The Insurgents Were NOT Fired Upon.
They Security Agents Were Sworn To "Protect And To Serve"
Yet DID Neither.
I'd Have Used Up A Case Of Ammunition With No Regrets What-So-Ever.
"Bag'em & Tag'em; It's Past Time To Mow The White House Lawn."
And Just WHOM Do You Believe VERBALLY Instigated And Lead The Attempted Insurrection;
Donald DUCK?

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - Read the transcript of President Trump's January 6th speech. Show me the words that incite violence. I'll wait. But please hurry, the wife has a long list of projects for me to accomplish today? No credit for pundits paraphrasing and analysis. President Trump's actual words.

P.S. If you can't come up with the words, I'm telling my wife it's your fault I didn't do anything today.
