After my VA Hematologist retired, they outsourced me to a local doctor. At least I am getting that care.
I have been waiting for Dermatology care at the VA for over nine years, and still haven't been able to see a doctor, but I can't afford to let that go and ignore obvious problems. Thankfully I have a Medicare insurance plan, which covers Dermatology care, because I had two significant skin cancers that required surgery in a hospital. VA still hasn't been able to provide medical care to all deserving Veterans, or even my limited needs.

I am not surprised. I know of someone waiting six months for an appointment with a psychiatrist.
