I believe this is because they are not always capturing all of those who may have attempted to commit suicide. We tend to capture just the final act of it. Mental Health is becoming something recognized as real as a part of life.

Lt Col Charlie Brown That's for sure Colonel. However, the Veteran has to admit they need help first, many won't because they view it as a sign of weakness.
