Federal officials need to find new ways to study and prevent extremism among veterans before the problem becomes widespread, according to a new report released by Democratic lawmakers on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee on Thursday.

Federal officials need to find new ways to study and prevent extremism among veterans before the problem becomes widespread, according to a new report released by Democratic lawmakers on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee on Thursday.

The DOD IG identified 9 cases involving serving military and/or veterans, since January 2020, being charged criminally across the US. That suggests it isn't as big a problem as democrat lawmakers say it is.

The Pentagon says nearly 100 service members, out of approximately 2 million service members, were identified during the stand down in 2021. Again, this suggests extremism isn't as big a problem as they say.
