Very few people know the frist bill Washington wrote for congress to pass he understood that the president was to take it before Congress himself. So he walked uop to congress and presented it, They treated him with so much disrepect over the bill he never went back personally to present a bill. No president has since.

That's one of our problems. We have two Houses of Congress with 435 egomaniacs who each think they should be President. Most of them couldn't do the job, at all.

Actually I think the real total is 535, 435 Representatives and 100 Senators. Sorry about the math error.

Washington also didn't overuse the veto and only applied it to items that actually were a problem and also not showing favoritism to any group unlike much of what We see today in its misuse !
