I'm glad I now live where it's legal to defend yourself. If it's legal in Kansas City, I imagine these three victims wished they had in that last flash of consciousness

That's a loaded statement CPT. Here in Kansas City, it depends on whos packing. For some citizens a BB gun is considered a lethal weapon. Short story: 1968 I started my 1st job with the Bendix Corporation. 80% of the newbies were assigned to the night shift. 3wks. after moving into my home in KC, I caught 2 young teens breaking in. I have an old Hi Slandered snapping in handgun, loaded. I lived in a duplex. 1teen went for the other side while 1 went for mine. Surprisingly my T, didn't know I was at home napping. We were both surprised, but. I had my weapon at bedside (safety on) but separated from the Mag. He came up from the basement. I suprised him with 1 shot, 1miss. He ran down the steps, I ran to the door, both tried the garage door at the same time, I cranked off another round, hitting #2, 1more miss on #1. KCPD came on board w/n 10min. Wanted my pistol, but left without it. Suspects got a way. I could go on, but I ran out of ink. If you know what I mean.
