If this act, and gravity, isnt understood by a gun owner, then they are dumber than a bag of hammers.

That said, I believe he's right. It's the state who has, and should only have, the power to create laws to incarcerate, not a county and definitely not a city.

Agree on both counts. PA law mandates that towns & cities cannot be made in lieu of/in addition to state law.
As for gun "safety," or so called common sense gun laws, if politicians were serious the most credible action would be firearms safety course requirements; not banning legal firearms from law abiding citizens.

Yet the whole state of Kentucky, population 4.5 million, had fewer shooting incidents than the City of Saint Louis (highest in the US), population 294,000 citizens.
Kentucky has an estimated 54.6% (2.47 Million people) of adults that own firearms. Saint Louis has as an estimated 48.8% (148,000 people) of adults owning guns.
"(Kentucky) State law appears to give only state lawmakers the ability to create crimes punishable by jail time." as he article stated at the beginning is exactly what the democrat controlled city is doing.
Also as the article said, "Simply, (Kentucky) state law appears to give only state lawmakers the power to create crimes punishable by jail time. Not Metro Louisville." It's my opinion, these small steps are intended to lead into greater Gun Control.
ADDITIONALLY: Kentucky law requires that a person carrying a firearm demonstrate competence with said firearm by successful completion of a firearms safety or training course that is conducted by a firearms instructor who is certified by a national organization that certifies firearms instructors and includes the use of written tests, in person instruction, and a component of live-fire training, or a firearms safety course offered or approved by the Department of Criminal Justice Training.

Is the training requirement you mentioned new or a hold over from the permit required days?
