Navy to don ‘Silent Service’ submarine uniforms for Army rivalry game

Last year, the Naval Academy’s football uniforms for its rival game against the United States Military Academy West Point paid homage to astronauts. This year, they’ve returned to the sea in a big way— via submarine.
“Navy Athletics and Under Armour unveiled the 2023 Army-Navy game uniform today that will honor the Silent Service, the U.S. Submarine Force, its families and supporting personnel,” according to a Nov. 20 release.

Last year, the Naval Academy’s football uniforms for its rival game against the United States Military Academy West Point paid homage to astronauts. This year, they’ve returned to the sea in a big way— via submarine.

Army is a 2.5 point favorite over Navy (Sagarin gives Army only 1.06), but both have 5-6 records, so the game is even in my opinion. Army beat the USAFA earlier in the season, so should Army win against Navy on December 9, they'll take the CinC trophy away from the USAFA.
I like that the service academies pay homage to their various components, organizations and units with uniform changes and patches, etc. However, in the final analysis, players win games, not uniforms.
