'Willing to lie for Donald Trump': Adam Schiff scorches GOP leadership

Republicans are incapable of choosing leadership that will not run cover for former President Donald Trump's lies and propaganda — a situation exemplified by their selection of far-right Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) to succeed ousted Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
That's the view of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who broke down the current state of the Republican Party on Thursday's edition of MSNBC's "The ReidOut."
"What do you make of the fact that, I mean, some of the key architects of the attempts to overthrow the election have been rewarded with more power?" said anchor Joy Reid. "The current Speaker of the House was one of the main people, if not the main person pushing the Big Lie, trying to get people to sign on to overthrow the election. Scott Perry, who sought a pardon, according to Cassidy Hutchinson. None of these people have paid a price. The people who have paid a price are people like Liz Cheney, who is out of power and out of office."
"Sadly, that's exactly right," agreed Schiff.

Schiff whose moniker is "shifty Schiff" and who ran cover for Nancy P and BTW, voted to remove McCarthy. He has nothing to say that most of us want to hear

Speak for yourself Lt Col Charlie Brown. Most of us reasonable folks listen to all sides of an argument but your statement shows you are only willing to listen to to what fits your limited paradigm. It leaves no room for a dissenting opinion or facts.
And of course Republicans have tied themselves to a traitor and it probably won't be long before we see Trump and followers wearing Nazi arm bands. Wait a minute a lot of his supporters already do. How any individual could associate themselves with such people is beyond comprehension. Remember this old saying. "You are the company you keep". Wise words from our parents and grandparents. Something a lot of folks here have forgotten or thrown by the wayside.

SGT (Join to see), everyone has freedom of choice and opinion which is what Lt Col Charlie Brown has been exercising. I must say see ain't alone because there are many other Trump supporters that are blind and deaf to his rhetoric. I only ask one question which is does Trump want to change our Constitution to allow him to remain in power indefinitely till he decides to relinquish it? Trump has actually stated this when he lost the election in 2020, but Trump supporters will most likely deny it because they are oblivious to misadventures by Trump.
I am not against Trump, yet he is probably best in his business world where he has evaded taxes to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars; WoW!!

Yeah SGT (Join to see); doesn't the Oath of Office mean anything anymore in the Presidency of the United States of America? "I promise to uphold and defend the Constitution" does not include changing our Constitution to satisfy individual or selfish reasons. I agree.
