WTF? Why isn't this a nationwide story?
But when the Democrat majority in Oregon banned half the Republican Senate delegation from running for reelection, that has been treated as a local story. And not an “attack on democracy”.

Their plan is working … the public is getting desensitized to the issue and soon will not react at all.

To clarify, they weren't banned. They supposedly made themselves ineligible for reelection because they were absent without permission (my words). Oregon voters approved a law to supposedly hold lawmakers accountable for attendance. It was a result of republican lawmakers leaving the state to deny a quorum several years ago. The law, passed by a democrat majority in the state, denies elected officials in the minority a time honored tool of parliamentary procedure.

Many of the 'banned' legislators plan on running anyway in order to get the law into the courts to be found unConstitutional.
