Very deplorable news my friend SFC William Farrell that Brittnay Ryals Paonessa shot her 26-year-old U.S. Army infantry husband Brandyn Paonessa in "their front yard three days after he took out a restraining order against her." Brandyn Paonessa was assigned to Task Force 1-28, 3rd Infantry Division, and had twice served in Afghanistan"
Rest in peace Brandyn Paonessa .
Prayers for the children who are aged eight, three, two, and two months [born in March 2019].

Caveat: I was assigned at Fort Benning from August 1984 to April 1989 [IOAC, Company Command at Harmony Church and CAS3 then Chief of U.S. Army Infantry Training Center [USAITC] Test and evaluation and later Scheduling officer for USAITC.]

"An Alabama woman is accused of shooting her Army husband dead in their front yard three days after he took out a restraining order against her.
Brittnay Ryals Paonessa, 27, was charged with murder on Friday after her husband, 26-year-old Brandyn Paonessa, died of gunshot wounds the day before.
Medics tried to save Mr Paonessa after he was found injured from the shotgun attack in Phenix City but he succumbed to his injuries.
The couple had welcomed their fourth child into the world just months earlier but the soldier had grown concerned about his wife's mental health.

Gives postpartum depression entirely new meaning, SFC William Farrell. It’s a great shame. May the soldier rest in peace.

Sure does LTC Stephen C.. You have to wonder what goes through their minds when they resort to something like this. Apparently she had a few issues for awhile and while its not common, its not unheard of for the wife to be the abusive one.

Make Me think of one I had served with, His wife beat up on Him many times. He crawled into a bottle and went from being a SSgt to Sergeant to Airman Basic E1 and discharged from the service. The Air Force tried to help Him but He didn't respond. He of course had been removed from his regular duties and It got to the point He was never sober.

It’s sad SMSgt Lawrence McCarter whether it’s the husband or the wife that dies the abusing. Hopefully he was able to get sober eventually.
