Although he's been accused, without evidence, of being a spy for political purposes, he in fact contacted two campaign advisers (George P and later Page) only after they received evidence that the pair had suspicious contacts linked to Russia during the campaign. It's the FBI's job. Had it been Hillary, they would have had to do the same (I'm wondering if they did and if that will come out). The article makes it sound like he was in there daily gathering info, which he wasn't.

LTC David Brown - I didn't say there wasn't an informant--FBI uses them all the time. But that informant, in no way proven, was "embedded" in the campaign. The previous connection with George P is interesting, but I'm still not clear on what that's got to do with anything, unless it made him more credible to know whether there was anyone inappropriately dealing with the Russians. I didn't expect him to be someone we've never heard of. As to whether he got paid, I have never seen an accurate story out of Gateway Pundit at all--ever. It's just not a source. So I will wait and see. Spying on Trump for helping the Dems? Ridiculous. They weren't worried (but they should have been). Do I personally believe there was inappropriate contact with Russians from Trump campaign members? Yes, I think there was. Do I think there was anything illegal? Don't think so--haven't seen anything to make me think there was. Somehow I'll bet if this story was about the FBI informant checking Hillary's campaign because they had info/suspicion, you would think it was a good thing.

Susan Foster - why would Halper pay for Popadaplous to go to England? Why did Halper insure Popadaplous knew about the supposed Russian hacking of Clinton e mails? Don’t you find it odd that the English professor also got friendly with Carter Page also? The people who hired Halper lied under oath. Why? These folks have told more tales than Trump, but they were under oath. McCabe has retired early, Comey is in trouble Strzok and Page were removed from the case, a FISE judge recused himself, the FBI fired Steel for talking to the press. You had Rice unmasking Trump supporters. This whole investigation is a mess.

Our IC is like a dead fish rotting from the head down. Until we find a competent leader with honesty and principles, there can be no confidence in them. Sorry, but that does include the lower levels that knew how corrupt their agencies were/are. Our Constitution is threatened by those that usurped the legal system that we have so revered since our founding as a country.
